FWSA Education

For years, the Long Range Plan called for more crewed boat education and experiences. This fall, we have a unique opportunity to focus on this area.

The Salty Sisters are hosting the Crewed Boat Challenge at St. Pete Sailing Center on November 7, offering competitors are Ideal 18s and Sonars. Crewed boats are also available for their December 12th Interclub.

To get competitors and other interested FWSA members up to speed, we will be circulating briefings on how to sail these boats; we also have arranged chalk talks and rigging advice by experienced Salty sailors on the two practice days ahead of the events (Nov. 6 and Dec. 11).

He is known by many St. Pete and Davis Island sailors, where he spends much of each winter coaching competitors in the J-70 winter series and other regattas, including Women’s Performance Week. This program will be offered not only to regatta competitors but also to all FWSA members.
