The Windlasses held a "No Frills, Just Thrills" Team Racing Regatta on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Night tactics began with drinks and food at the Dunedin Brewery the previous evening, where it was learned that many sailors had not recently reviewed the team racing videos on the FWSA website. As a result, the sailors were often engaged in questioning each other about what tactics would be best.

The Sunfish Fleet had 6 teams, and the Pram/IOD Fleet had 3 teams, with teams in each fleet consisting of 3 sailors. The sailors launched right after the Skipper's meeting, expertly handled by Sunfish PRO Margo Currey. The sailors plodded their way to the racecourses in very light air. A short postponement occurred before racing started in very light air. During the postponement, Windlass photographer Rita Root took pictures of sailors having fun on the water and showing off their team colors.

PRO Margo Currey squeezed in 12 races on the Sunfish Course, giving each Sunfish team combination 4 races. The Pram/IOD fleet with PRO Donna Sharpless finished 8 races. Both fleets sailed the Digital S course finishing at the top then leisurely sailing back to the start area for another sequence to begin.

When the wind did a 180 degree shift, the Sunfish course was quickly reversed, which allowed the teams to get in the last set of races. When a decision was made to head in to shore, a cheer went up from the sailors who were ready for some liquid refreshment. Lunch and awards followed at the Hog Island Fish Camp.

Race Results:

Sunfish 1st Place: Mixed Team with Linda Schwartz, Luffing Lassie; Lisa Ehrhart, Luffing Lassie; and Sharon Grasso, Windlass.

Sunfish 2nd Place: Windlass Team with Sharron Williams, Carolyn Jelnecky and Christine Russo.

Sunfish 3rd Place: Mixed Team with Marti Cochran, Salty Sister; Juliet Clark, Broadreacher; and Iwona Pralet, Windlass.

Pram 1st Place: Windlass Team of Susan Foote, Kate Wall and Amber Smith.

Pram 2nd Place: Windlass Team of Joanne Simmons, JoAnne Laflin and Susan Piatrowski.

Pram 3rd Place: Mixed Team of Debra Schnedler, Windlass; Sharlene Turner Rhumb Runners; and Lynne Kondracki, Windlass.
