| The Florida Women's Sailing
Association was founded in 1973 to promote and encourage the
growth of women's sailing groups along the West coast of
Florida. Currently there are ten member clubs with more
than four hundred women racing once a week in their
respective sailing clubs in the Tampa Bay area.
Each year this organization hosts two
championship regattas. The F.W.S.A. Championship Regatta is
held using crewed boats. The Rainbow Regatta is held in the
Spring using prams and Sunfish.
